Akin to a prequel to the 101 Dalmatians movie, this movie chronicles how Estella becomes Cruella and her seeming fascination with Dalmatians.
Played by Emma Stone, Estella at first appears to be down and about after the tragic ending to her mom during her childhood to her adulthood.
Luckily coming to her aid is Jasper (Joel Fry) and Horace (Paul Walter Hauser) who is introduced to us in the first acts of the movie as street kids that takes Estella in as their gang.
I understand now why Cruella always have this two sidekicks around.
It is fascinating how the story of a villain we have come to know be turned into a biographical movie about the journey to how she became a villain in the beloved classic Disney movie. Truly engaging and original Storytelling.
For Visual appeal, which is a bit stale and mono, unlike other Disney movies but still captures the essence of the movie and delivers an okay viewer experience.
In terms of engaging or capturing the audience, me and my family was livid with some scenes and enjoyed the fun and humour in which ‘Cruella’ toppled The Baroness (played by Emma Thompson) fashion statements.
Overall, I would say it is an interesting movie for the family to watch at home.
