Restaurant 9888 - Cheras

This food review is of a lunch I had with my in-laws in one of the restaurants in Cheras before Chinese New Year. The restaurant is named 9888. Honestly, my wife found and picked this place after searching for a new food location in Cheras.

The restaurant is actually quite hidden along the Jalan Cheras road (after Jaya Jusco Maluri). To find it just head along the road to Cheras from town and you will see a DAP Rocket signboard (which has been there for ages). Right before that signboard will be a left turn into a road that leads to the restaurant. Take  the first right turning and you should see it. take note that the road is a dead end and parking could be quite scarce at night. It is advisable to go there early and avoid the parking fiasco.

Below are some of the picture shots I took of the food we had

1. Deer ribs

2. Veges

3. Claypot Pork knuckles

4. Assam fish

5. Salted egg deep-fried prawns

I think we wanted to order the Kam Heong la-la but it wasn't in stock. However, most of the food we ordered were tastefully great and one particular dish deserved a commendation. This was the salted egg prawns which were quite large prawns cooked to almost perfection. The memory of it makes me wanna go to try other dishes again.
